How to use Korean Grammar A + (으)ㄴ데

The Korean text pronunciation feature (🔊) is only available for Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Opera browsers.

Adjective + ㄴ데 / 은데

ㄴ - if a word ends in a vowel or ㄹ, 은 - if it ends in a consonant (except ㄹ)

The Korean grammar pattern we learned in the previous lesson can also be used with adjectives. You can use either -ㄴ데 or -은데 to connect two sentences where the first sentence sets up the context and the second sentence provides the main information. For adjectives that end with either 있다 or 없다, use -는데 instead.
